If you are looking for one of the forms needed for keeping your records up to date  then you're in the right place. You should find all the standard forms needed throughout the school year right here. You also have the school forms in your Parent Handbook that you can make copies of as needed.

Fairhaven Highschool Graduation Requirements

In order to receive a diploma from Fairhaven, minimum high school graduation requirements have been set.  They are efffective for students entering 9th grade in the 2007/2008 school year.

They are the same as for California public high school graduation, with the addition of Bible and passing the CHSPE exam. (See note below for further details.)  We recognize that not all students will go on to a college education.  However, we do strongly encourage all students to strive for more than just the minimum, especially if college is a possibility in the future. 

Planning for high school classes should begin while your student is in Jr. High.  Below is a link for a table that shows the University of California and California State University requirements along with the CA Public Schools graduation requirements.

 Note:  The CHSPE test can be waived with Board approval if the student takes a college entrance exam or will be graduating High School with an AA from a college.

SAT Testing

We provide standardized testing once a year in April or May. This is a decision we leave up to the parents as we do understand these test are not completely accurate in testing anyone’s true knowledge. However, we do recognise benefits in taking the tests such as confirming the areas of strength and weakness in your teaching or the child's learning and helping the student get use to taking tests in preparation for future testing, such as the SAT’s for college entrance.
